How private tables work
A private table is a real shared table, not a simulation. When a friend opens your link they get their own private cards, and everyone sees the same board, pots, bets and results at the same instant. If a friend’s connection drops, their seat is held and they reconnect automatically.
You start with the empty seats filled by AI players, so the table is never short. When a friend arrives mid-hand, they watch until the hand ends; then an AI player steps aside and the friend takes the seat with the table’s starting chips, without restarting the game.
Cash-style or tournament?
- Cash-style is relaxed. Blinds stay fixed. If you lose your stack you get a fresh one at the next hand, so nobody has to leave. Great for an evening of chatting and playing.
- Tournament is competitive. Everyone starts with the same chips and the blinds go up every few hands, forcing action. When you are out you are out, and the last player standing is declared the winner. The host presses “Start” when everyone has arrived.
Host controls
- Copy or share the link from the table panel at any time.
- Revoke and regenerate the link if it ended up somewhere it should not have. The old link stops working immediately.
- Add a password that visitors must enter to sit down.
- Remove a player who is being disruptive.
- Close the table when you are finished.
Tables expire after 48 hours without activity. For poker basics to share with friends who are new, send them our how to play poker guide.

Frequently asked questions
Do my friends need accounts?
No. Anyone with the link can join, choose a nickname and play. Nobody has to sign up, including you.
How many people can play?
Up to six at one table. Seats not taken by people are filled by AI players, who leave between hands as friends arrive.
Can I keep strangers out?
Yes. Invitation links are long and random, you can add a password, remove players, and revoke the link at any time. Private tables are never listed publicly or indexed by search engines.
What if a friend disconnects?
They keep their seat and rejoin automatically from the same browser. The table shows their status as reconnecting.
What is the difference between cash-style and tournament?
Cash-style tables keep the blinds fixed and refill busted stacks. Tournaments give equal chips, raise the blinds on a schedule and eliminate players until one is left.
